Fort-de-France

— 59 nights
The political capital of Martinique, Fort-de-France has a thriving commercial center and a number of historic sites.
Kids will enjoy Montagne Pelee and La Pointe Marin. Explore Fort-de-France's surroundings by going to Saint-Pierre (Centre de Decouverte des Sciences et de la Terre, Distillerie Depaz, &more), Le Diamant (Diamond Rock, Klub Madi Vwel, &more) and Les Anses d'Arlet (Dlo Ferre, Aux Couleurs Locales, &more). Spend the 30th (Tue) exploring nature at Parc Naturel Regional de la Martinique. There's much more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Jardin de Balata, ponder the design of Fontaine Didier, trek along La Boucle d'Absalon, and get engrossed in the history at Musee Departemental de la Martinique.

Plan my Fort-de-France trip by asking Inspirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiport is Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport. In September, plan for daily highs up to 37°C, and evening lows to 28°C. On the 28th (Wed), you'll travel back home.
