Situated on the confluence of the rivers Ouse and Foss, York has witnessed an abundance of major political events throughout its two millennia of existence.
Kids will appreciate attractions like York Maze and Piglets Adventure Farm. Change things up with these side-trips from York: Durham (Durham Riverside Walk & Hall Hill Farm), Ashworth Barracks (in Doncaster) and Fury Events (in Witton Gilbert).
