Founded in the 10th century as a Viking fishing village, Copenhagen has morphed into the cultural, political, and economic powerhouse of the country.
Take a break from the city and head to Copenhagen Zoo and Copenhagen Family Tours. Do some cultural sightseeing at Stroeget and Nyhavn. Venture out of the city with trips to Viking Ship Museum (in Roskilde), Kronborg Castle (in Helsingoer) and Hillerod (Frederiksborg Castle & Frederiksborg Slotskirke). And it doesn't end there: take an in-depth tour of Rosenborg Castle, see the interesting displays at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Visit Carlsberg, and try out the rides at Tivoli Gardens.

To find other places to visit, reviews, maps, and other tourist information, read Copenhagen trip itinerary planning app .
