Copenhagen

— 59 nights

City of Beautiful Towers

Founded in the 10th century as a Viking fishing village, Copenhagen has morphed into the cultural, political, and economic powerhouse of the country.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Nyhavn and Assistens Cemetery. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Davids Samling (The David Collection) and Arken Museum of Modern Art. Get out of town with these interesting Copenhagen side-trips: Hoersholm Kirke (in Hoersholm), Rudolph Tegners Museum (in Dronningmoelle) and Store Heddinge (Stevns Fyrcenter, Stevns Klint, &more). On the 3rd (Fri), spend a musical evening at Bakken - World's Oldest Amusement Park. There's still lots to do: step into the grandiose world of Rosenborg Castle, explore the engaging exhibits at Experimentarium, admire the masterpieces at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, and examine the collection at The Open Air Museum.

For photos, other places to visit, and other tourist information, use the Copenhagen tour itinerary maker.

If you are flying in from Norway, the closest major aiport is Copenhagen Kastrup Airport. February in Copenhagen sees daily highs of 5°C and lows of 0°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
