A charming old city originally founded as a Roman colony, Valencia is the country’s third-largest urban center.

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at El Castell de Guadalest and Castell de Xativa. Get outdoors at Playa del Arenal and Playa de Levante. Explore Valencia's surroundings by going to Museu Internacional de Titelles d’Albaida (in Albaida), Castillo de Santa Barbara (in Alicante) and Benidorm (Placa del Castell & La Cruz de Benidorm). There's lots more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basílica de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Oceanografic Valencia, engage your brain at Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, and contemplate the long history of Palau Ducal dels Borja Gandia.

If you are flying in from Slovenia, the closest major aiports are Valencia Airport, Alicante International Airport and Ibiza Airport. Expect a daytime high around 25°C in April, and nighttime lows around 12°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
