A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Sapporo: Jigokudani (in Noboribetsu), Otaru Canal (in Otaru) and Nishikiyama Temmangu (in Ebetsu). The adventure continues: walk around Odori Park, take an in-depth tour of Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura), steep yourself in history at Sapporo Clock Tower, and enjoy the scholastic atmosphere at Hokkaido University Sapporo Campus.
