Best known for its 1692 witch trials, Salem has a number of significant historical sites, a bustling downtown, and many witch-themed attractions.
Change things up with these side-trips from Salem: Bearskin Neck (in Rockport) and Fishermen's Memorial Monument (in Gloucester). The adventure continues: explore the world behind art at Peabody Essex Museum, get engrossed in the history at Gallows Hill Museum/Theatre, stroll around Salem Witch Trials Memorial, and appreciate the history behind Bewitched Statue of Elizabeth Montgomery.
