The Forest City

Maine's biggest and perhaps most vibrant city, Portland was established as a fishing village in 1633 and grew to become New England's largest port.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Thu): enjoy the sand and surf at Ogunquit Beach and then get to know the fascinating history of Marginal Way Walkway. On the 9th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: cast your line with a fishing tour, gain some tasty knowledge on The Maine Brew Bus, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Cathedral Of The Immaculate Conception.
