Most visitors take a trip to Nags Head to enjoy the beach, but this Outer Banks town offers more than just waterside entertainment.Attractions like Jockey's Ridge State Park and Bodie Island Lighthouse make great kid-friendly stops. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Nags Head: Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (in Buxton), Corolla (Currituck Beach Lighthouse and Museum, Off-Road Tours, &more) and Aloha Yoga Susan (in Avon). There's still lots to do: take a leisurely stroll along Jennette's Pier, tour the pleasant surroundings at Tracks in the Sand, shop like a local with Seaside Art Gallery, and steep yourself in history at Wright Brothers National Memorial.
