Start your trip in Slovenia's cultural capital of Ljubljana, where you'll admire the renowned works of the country's preeminent architect, Jože Plečnik. From there, it's off to Škofja Loka to explore its storybook castle on a hill. Next, you'll head to Idrija, which UNESCO has recognized for outstanding preservation of its mining heritage. Before returning to shop Ljubljana's designer boutiques, you'll visit Novo Mesto and its quaint old town and underrated Museum of Dolenjska. Finish with a day of designer boutique hopping in Ljubljana.
