One of Santa Catarina's most popular tourist destinations, Itapema hugs the shore in an attractive sandy bay, framed by rocky outcrops and hills.
Visit Meia-Praia Beach and Itapema Beach for some beach relaxation. Explore Itapema's surroundings by going to Praia do Estaleiro (in Porto Belo), Casa do Barao Center for the Arts (in Biguacu) and Governador Celso Ramos (Chuch of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, Praia de Palmas, & more). There's still lots to do: step off the mainland to explore Ilha de Porto Belo, pause for some serene contemplation at Paroquia de Tijucas, and get great views at Mirante do Encanto.
