The city of Imabari encompasses several islands in Japan's inland sea, and due to this strategic location it changed hands regularly during the feudal era.
Start off your visit on the 19th (Fri): take in the views from Hakata-Oshima Bridge, snap pictures at Tatara Bridge, and then take in panoramic vistas at Kurushima Straits Observation Hall. On your second day here, make a trip to Maegamiji Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at The Central Shrine of Ishizuchi Jinja, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Yokomineji, then walk around Rekishi no Mieru Oka Park, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Osaki Shimo-jima Island Mitarai Area.
