Hohenschwangau

— 5 nights
A picturesque village nestled in a green valley on the shores of a lake, Hohenschwangau receives nearly two million visitors every year.
Venture out of the city with trips to Bad Bayersoien (Soier See & Pfarrkirche St. Georg), Rottenbuch (Ehem. Stiftskirche Mariä Geburt & Schoenegger Kaese Alm) and Kletterhalle Weilheim - Under the Roof (in Weilheim). There's lots more to do: take in the views from Queen Mary's Bridge (Marienbrucke), get outside with Poellat Gorge, enjoy the sand and surf at Alpseebad, and take an in-depth tour of Museum of the Bavarian Kings.

For photos, reviews, maps, and other tourist information, refer to the Hohenschwangau online trip planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Memmingen Allgau Airport, Friedrichshafen Airport and Flughafen München-Riem. In March in Hohenschwangau, expect temperatures between 47°F during the day and 30°F at night. You will leave for home on the 20th (Sat).
