Montauk is a census-designated place (CDP) that includes the hamlet with the same name located in the town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York, on the eastern end of the South Shore of Long Island. Go for a jaunt from Montauk to East Hampton to see LongHouse Reserve about 30 minutes away. There's still lots to do: get outside with Outdoor Activities, admire the majestic nature at Hither Hills State Park, get a taste of the local shopping with Main Beach, and make a trip to Gosman's Restaurant.
