Franklin is a town in Franklin Township, Macon County, North Carolina, United States, within the Nantahala National Forest. Get out of town with these interesting Franklin side-trips: Helen (Bavarian Mountain Miniature Golf & Anna Ruby Falls), River Rafting & Tubing (in Bryson City) and Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Kephart Prong Trail, Clingmans Dome, &more). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Franklin Gem and Mineral Museum, take in the dramatic scenery at Dry Falls, get engrossed in the history at Macon County Historical Society and Museum, and go deep underground at Mason's Ruby & Sapphire Mine.

Plan my Franklin trip by asking Inpirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

In June, plan for daily highs up to 81°F, and evening lows to 59°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
