Diving Capital of the World

The northernmost island of the Florida Keys, Key Largo provides stunning scenery, a number of watersports opportunities, and plenty of areas to relax on vacation.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Tue): stop by Petals With Pizzazz, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Florida Keys Brewing Company, then sample the tasty concoctions at Islamorada Brewery & Distillery, and finally stroll through Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center. On your second day here, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, meet the residents at Island Dolphin Care, and then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

New York City to Key Largo is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In July in Key Largo, expect temperatures between 89°F during the day and 76°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Marathon.

Heart of the Florida Keys

A tiny city just 16 km (10 mi) long, Marathon is spread across several islands in the middle of the Florida Keys.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Thu): relax and rejuvenate at Keys Massage Therapy LLC, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Sombrero Beach, and then kick back and relax at Bahia Honda State Park.

Getting from Key Largo to Marathon by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 92°F, and evening lows to 81°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Thu) so you can drive to Key West.

Conch Republic

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Go for a jaunt from Key West to Little Torch Key to see SpaTerre at Little Palm Island Resort about 44 minutes away. The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, sample the fine beverages at Key West Distilling, don't miss a visit to Southernmost Point, and take a leisurely stroll along Mallory Square.
