Esperance

Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Spend the 12th (Tue) exploring nature at Cape Le Grand National Park. There's lots more to do: take a memorable drive along Great Ocean Drive, kick back and relax at Blue Haven Beach, and stroll through Thistle Cove.

Perth to Esperance is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In October, plan for daily highs up to 26°C, and evening lows to 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Albany.

Albany

Founded as a military outpostĀ in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
