Izu

Izu sits in the center of the mountainous Izu Peninsula.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Sun): get a new perspective on nature at Joren Falls Museum and then take in the dramatic scenery at Joren Waterfall. Atami

With Atami's relative proximity to the nation's capital, this beach resort town draws its fair share of visitors--though holidays in Atami are not just a matter of convenience.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Tue): browse the exhibits of Hakone Sekisho and Hakone Sekisho Museum, then explore the world behind art at The Hakone Open-Air Museum, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Sunset Falls. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Former Hyuga Bettei, then stop by Aoki no Himono Atami Ekimae, then kick back and relax at Atami Sun Beach, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Kinomiya Shrine.
