Located just east of the famous ruins after which it is named, Ayutthaya provides the setting for a holiday of historical, natural, and cultural exploration.
On the 5th (Sat), pause for some photo ops at Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Lokayasutharam), delve into the distant past at Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon, wander the streets of Ayutthaya Ruins, then appreciate the history behind Wat Mahathat, then make a trip to Ayutthaya Historical Park, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wat Phra Sri Sanphet. On your second day here, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wat Chaiwatthanaram, make a trip to Wat Phutthaisawan Temple, then get engrossed in the history at Pridi Banomyong Memorial, then admire the landmark architecture of Bang Pa In Palace, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Temple of the Royal Restoration (Wat Ratchaburana).

Just a short trip from Bangkok, Lop Buri is one of the oldest cities in Thailand, known mostly for its crab-eating monkeys.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Mon): make a trip to Phra Kan Shrine, get in on the family fun at Phra Prang Sam Yot, then pause for some photo ops at Statue of King Narai the Great, then admire the landmark architecture of King Narai's Lopburi Palace, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wat Phrasi Rattana Mahathat. On the 8th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire nature's wide array of creatures at Lopburi Zoo, don't miss a visit to Wat Khun Inthapramun, then take in the history at Sang Kra Tai Temple, and finally see the interesting displays at Wat Phra Buddha Badh.
