Nagoya

— 57 nights
Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
Get out of town with these interesting Nagoya side-trips: Ise (Futami Okitama Shrine, Meotoiwa Rocks, &more), Satsuma Kaikozu Street (Yoro Yakiniku Street) (in Yoro-cho) and Hikone Castle (in Hikone). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, don't miss a visit to Osu Shopping Street, trek along Nakasendo Magome-juku, and get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium.

To find photos, other places to visit, ratings, and more tourist information, use the Nagoya trip planner.

If you are flying in from Philippines, the closest major aiports are Chubu Centrair International Airport, Mount Fuji Shizuoka Airport and Osaka International Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 19°C, and evening lows to 13°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
