With a nickname like the "Pearl of the Orient," it's not surprising Shanghai offers some of the most rewarding attractions and activities in the Far East.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Humble Administrator's Garden and Travel China Guide. When in Shanghai, make a side trip to see Suzhou Museum in Suzhou, approximately Suzhou away. On the 7th (Wed), spend a fun day on foot with Walking tours. The adventure continues: make a trip to Bund International Architecture Exhibition, take in the pleasant sights at Riverside Promenade (Bingjiang Da Dao), wander the streets of Pudong New Area, and get great views at Jin Mao Tower.

Billund, Denmark to Shanghai is an approximately 23-hour flight. You can also fly. You'll lose 7 hours traveling from Billund to Shanghai due to the time zone difference. Expect somewhat warmer temperatures when traveling from Billund in April; daily highs in Shanghai reach 25°C and lows reach 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 11th (Sun) early enough to travel to Beijing.
