Toronto, Canada to Seoul is an approximately 16.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of train, car, and flight. Explore Osaka's surroundings by going to Nara (Isuien Garden, Mt. Wakakusa, & more), Koya-cho (Mt. Koya, Kongobu-ji Temple, & more) and Sakurai (Omiwa Shrine, Genpinan, & more). The adventure continues: admire the verdant scenery at Arima Onsen, explore the different monuments and memorials at Ishibutai Tomb, see the interesting displays at Kawasaki Good Times World, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Muroji Temple.

You can fly from Seoul to Osaka in 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of car and ferry. While traveling from Seoul, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Osaka, ranging from highs of 32°C to lows of 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Fri) so you can take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Step off the beaten path and head to Mimurotoji Temple and Shoren-in Temple (Shoren-in Monzeki). Get outdoors at Mt. Kurama and Mt. Bungatake. Change things up with these side-trips from Kyoto: Byodoin (in Uji), Hikone Castle (in Hikone) and Ishiyamadera Temple (in Otsu). Next up on the itinerary: make a trip to Gion, steep yourself in history at Kifune-jinja Shrine, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sanzen-in Temple, and explore the historical opulence of Nijo Castle.

Kyoto is very close to Osaka. In September, plan for daily highs up to 33°C, and evening lows to 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Wed) early enough to travel to Tokyo.
