A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Gangneung: Pyeongchang-gun (Lee Hyo-Seok Memorial Hall & Phoenix Snow Park), Chuam Beach (in Donghae) and Seoraksan National Park (in Sokcho).
