Arnhem

— 52 nights

Little Hague of the East

Arnhem is known mostly for its John Frost Bridge, which the British tried to secure during World War II. The operation was significant enough to be the subject of a movie, "A Bridge Too Far." Many who go to Arnhem do so for its historical museums, war monuments, museum of modern art, and the Burgers' zoo.
Get out of town with these interesting Arnhem side-trips: Efteling (in Kaatsheuvel), Maastricht (Basilica of Our Lady, Maastricht Underground, &more) and Utrecht (Stadhuis Utrecht, Canals area, &more). Spend the 21st (Mon) exploring nature at Hoge Veluwe National Park. Pack the 15th (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Walibi Holland. And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Nederlands Openluchtmuseum, test your team's savvy at Clocked-Up Escape Room Arnhem, admire the natural beauty at Park Angerenstein, and steep yourself in history at World Heritage Kinderdijk.
