Milan

— 51 nights

Fashion Capital of World

In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Relax by the water at Spiaggia Tranquilla and Lido Nettuno. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Basilica di San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro and Basilica San Michele Maggiore. Get out of town with these interesting Milan side-trips: Piacenza (Kado Flower Design & Calu'), Iseo (Lago d'Iseo & Lido Belvedere Iseo) and Archeopark (in Boario Terme). There's lots more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Abbazia di Chiaravalle, explore the historical opulence of Castello e Parco di Masino, pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, and steep yourself in history at Basilica di Sant'Andrea.

For ratings, reviews, other places to visit, and more tourist information, read Milan trip itinerary planning website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Milano Linate Airport and Milan Bergamo Airport. In June, daytime highs in Milan are 83°F, while nighttime lows are 64°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 31st (Wed) so you can travel back home.
