Known as one of the greatest small cities in the world, Amsterdam charms visitors with its cool and cozy atmosphere.
Anne Frank House and Begijnhof will appeal to history buffs. Rijksmuseum and The Resistance Museum (Amsterdams Verzetsmuseum) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Change things up with a short trip to Zandvoort aan Zee in Zandvoort (about 44 minutes away). There's much more to do: get engrossed in the history at Van Gogh Museum, examine the collection at Amsterdam Pipe Museum, tour the pleasant surroundings at ARTIS, and take a stroll through Red Light District.

New Delhi, India to Amsterdam is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from India Standard Time to Central European Time, which is usually a -4 hour difference. When traveling from New Delhi in January, plan for colder days and a bit cooler nights in Amsterdam: temperatures range from 7°C by day to 1°C at night.
