Although its history goes back a thousand years, Gdansk represents one of Poland's most modern urban centers, its thriving economy boosted by a lively tourism sector.
Step out of Gdansk to go to Malbork and see Muzeum Zamkowe w Malborku, which is approximately 56 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Old Town, pause for some serene contemplation at Archikatedra Oliwska, stroll through Sobieszewo Beach, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Mary's Church.

The birthplace of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, the medieval town of Torun escaped the destruction of World War II, managing to preserve most of the Gothic architecture of its historical old town.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Torun: Lake Chelmzynskie Beach (in Chelmza), Bukowiec Landscape Park (in Bukowiec) and Jelenia Wyspa (in Cekcyn).
