Schengen is a small wine-making town and commune in far south-eastern Luxembourg, on the western bank of the river Moselle, near the tripoint where the borders of Germany, France, and Luxembourg meet. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Bourscheid Castle and MNHM National Museum of Military History. Vianden Castle and Le Chemin de la Corniche will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Abbey of Echternach (in Echternach), Mullerthal Trail (in Mullerthal) and Luxembourg City (Boulevard Royal, Guimauve & Chocolat, &more). There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Chateau de Clervaux, buy something for everyone on your list at Knauf Shopping Center Schmiede, look for gifts at Fromages et Vins, and appreciate the views at Moselle Valley.

For photos, where to stay, reviews, and more tourist information, you can read our Schengen day trip tool.
