Wrexham is the largest town in the north of Wales and an administrative, commercial, retail and educational centre. Change things up with these side-trips from Wrexham: Cader Idris (in Dolgellau), Penmaenpool Toll Bridge (in Penmaenpool) and Portmeirion Village (in Portmeirion). There's lots more to do: don't miss a visit to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, explore the historical opulence of Harlech Castle, walk around Ty Mawr Country Park, and look for all kinds of wild species at Maes-y-Pant / Marford Quarry.

For more things to do, photos, where to stay, and more tourist information, refer to the Wrexham vacation builder site .

Expect a daytime high around 20°C in September, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
