A historic city with its eye firmly on the future, Tallinn blends medieval fortifications, gleaming skyscrapers, and charming boutiques with a spattering of Soviet relics.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Tue): don't miss a visit to Viru Square, take a stroll through Tallinn Old Town, then see the interesting displays at Lennusadam Seaplane Harbour, and finally steep yourself in history at Kumu Art Museum. On the next day, stroll around Kadriorg Park, then steep yourself in history at Toompea Hill, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Aleksander Nevski Katedraali.

Alūksne is a town on the shores of Lake Alūksne in northeastern Latvia near the borders with Estonia and Russia.
