5 days in Swansea & Llanelli Itinerary

Swansea, officially known as the City and County of Swansea, is a coastal city and county in Wales. Explore Swansea's surroundings by going to Cardiff (Cardiff Castle, St Fagans National Museum of History, &more), Cowbridge Physic Garden (in Cowbridge) and Folly Farm (in Begelly). There's lots more to do: stroll through Gower Peninsula, look for all kinds of wild species at Three Cliffs Bay, brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Penderyn Distillery, and examine the collection at Big Pit National Coal Museum.

Cardiff to Swansea is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or take a train. Expect a daytime high around 11°C in March, and nighttime lows around 3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Llanelli.

Llanelli ("St Elli's town in both the county of Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales, sits on the Loughor estuary on the West Wales coast, approximately 10mi west-northwest of Swansea and 12mi south-east of the county town, Carmarthen. On the 8th (Mon), learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at The British Bird of Prey Centre and then admire the striking features of Stradey Castle.
