Nestled in the heart of the valley formed by the Shenandoah River, Luray draws visitors with a vast underground cavern system adorned with stalactites, stalagmites, and mirrored pools.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Hawksbill Mountain and Limberlost Trail. Step out of the city life by going to Rose River Falls and Elkwallow Picnic Area. Step out of Luray with an excursion to Zipline in McGaheysville--about 44 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the history at New Market State Historical Park, trek along Luray Hawksbill Greenway, do a tasting at River Hill Wine & Spirits, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Massanutten Storybook Trail.
