Hendersonville is a city in Henderson County, North Carolina United States. On the 13th (Mon), kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks. On the next day, go deep underground at Elijah Mountain Gem Mine, then have some family-friendly fun at Pisgah Forest Gem Mine, then admire the sheer force of Sliding Rock, and finally sample the tasty concoctions at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Cherokee

The center of Cherokee culture in the eastern part of the country, the town named after this Native American tribe serves as a base camp for hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains.
On the 15th (Wed), get outside with Carolina Outfitters, let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, and then try to win big at Casino at Harrah’s Cherokee. Keep things going the next day: see the interesting displays at Museum of the Cherokee Indian and then cruise along Blue Ridge Pkwy.

You can drive from Hendersonville to Cherokee in 1.5 hours. Expect a daytime high around 83°F in July, and nighttime lows around 62°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Thu) early enough to drive to Boone.
