The capital of the state of Kedah on the west coast of the Malaysian Peninsula, Alor Setar ranks as the tenth-largest city in Malaysia by population.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Wed): contemplate the long history of Zahir Mosque, examine the collection at Kedah Paddy Museum, and then browse the different shops at Aman Central.
