Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
On the 3rd (Tue), don't miss a visit to Nagoya Castle, see the interesting displays at Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, then contemplate the waterfront views at Yamazaki River, then make a trip to Osu Shopping Street, and finally wander the streets of Sakae. Keep things going the next day: see the interesting displays at Toyota Automobile Museum, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Higashiyama Zoo & Botanical Garden, take in the spiritual surroundings of Atsuta Jingu Shrine, see the interesting displays at SCMAGLEV and Railway Park, then get some fabulous bargains at Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream Nagashima, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Nagoya TV Tower.

Singapore, Singapore to Nagoya is an approximately 10- hour combination of subway, flight, and train. You can also do a combination of subway and flight; or do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone changes from Singapore Standard Time to Japan Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. Plan for colder temperatures traveling from Singapore in April, with highs in Nagoya at 19°C and lows at 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Osaka.

Start off your visit on the 5th (Thu): see the interesting displays at Osaka Shiritsu Toyo Toji Museum, then stop by Minami (Namba), then wander the streets of Dotombori District, and finally find something for the whole family at Universal Studios Japan. Keep things going the next day: make a trip to Nijo Castle, wander the streets of Gion, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Sanjusangendo Temple, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine.

Traveling by train from Nagoya to Osaka takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Nagoya in April, you will find days in Osaka are a bit warmer (23°C), and nights are about the same (12°C). Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
