On the bank of the Mtkvari River and at the foot of Trialeti mountain range, Tbilisi's location has given the city strategic significance since it was founded in the 5th century.
Attractions like Narikala Fortress and The Bridge of Peace make great kid-friendly stops. Next up on the itinerary: get the lay of the land with Walking tours, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Surb Nshan Church of the Holy Sign, get in on the family fun at Aerial Tramway in Tbilisi, and pause for some photo ops at Kartlis Deda.
