Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Kick off your visit on the 7th (Fri): don't miss a visit to Neptune's Staircase, then take in the awesome beauty at Ben Nevis, and then admire the sheer force of Steall Waterfall. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 8th (Sat): don't miss a visit to Glenfinnan Viaduct, then get the lay of the land with Vertical Descents Scotland, and then appreciate the views at Glen Coe.

Kick off your visit on the 9th (Sun): ponder the design of Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Fountain, examine the collection at Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition, step into the grandiose world of Urquhart Castle, then take an unorthodox tour of Loch Ness, and finally cruise along General Wade’s Military Roads. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take a tour by water with Cruise Loch Ness, get great views at Suidhe Viewpoint, contemplate the long history of Fort Augustus Abbey, then take in the dramatic scenery at The Falls of Foyers, and finally go for a walk through St Ninians Church.
