Dynamo of Dixie

Once saddled with the reputation of being one of the country's dirtiest cities, Chattanooga now boasts a pedestrian-friendly downtown with a network of leafy waterfront trails and free electric shuttles.
Get some historical perspective at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and Chickamauga Battlefield. Visiting Tennessee Riverpark and Fishing Charters & Tours will get you outdoors. Change things up with these side-trips from Chattanooga: Desoto Falls (in Mentone), Red Clay State Historic Park (in Cleveland) and Adventures Unlimited (in Ocoee). There's lots more to do: stroll the grounds of Chattanooga National Cemetery, wander the streets of Bluff View Art District, admire the sheer force of Ruby Falls, and look for all kinds of wild species at Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center.
