Birthplace of American Liberty

A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
Popular historic sites such as Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and Nauset Lighthouse are in your itinerary. You'll get in some beach time at Herring Cove Beach and Corn Hill Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Eastham (Buttonbush Trail, First Encounter Beach, &more). There's much more to do: get a dose of the wild on Art's Dune Tours, ponder the world of politics at Provincetown Town Hall, enjoy the sand and surf at Race Point Beach, and do a tasting at Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod.

Pittsburgh to Provincetown is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and ferry. In November, plan for daily highs up to 51°F, and evening lows to 39°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Hyannis.

Capital of Cape Cod

"The Capital of the Cape," Hyannis serves as Cape Cod's main transportation and commercial hub.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Sat): examine the collection at John F Kennedy Hyannis Museum, take a stroll through Main Street Hyannis, then enjoy the sand and surf at Gray's Beach, then get up close to creatures of the deep with Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises, and finally see the interesting displays at Cape League Hall of Fame. On the next day, stroll through Kalmus Beach, kick back and relax at Chatham Lighthouse Beach, don't miss a visit to Old King's Hwy, get engrossed in the history at Mayflower II, then steep yourself in history at Plymouth Rock, and finally take an in-depth tour of Plimoth Patuxet.

Traveling by car from Provincetown to Hyannis takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In November in Hyannis, expect temperatures between 53°F during the day and 37°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sun) so you can catch the flight back home.
