An industrial port city on Colombia's Caribbean coast, Barranquilla represents the fourth-most populous city in the country.
Venture out of the city with trips to Scuba & Snorkeling (in Taganga) and Santa Marta (Mundo Marino, Paseo El Camellon, &more). Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at Museo del Caribe, take a leisurely stroll along Gran Malecon Puerta de Oro, get to know the resident critters at Zoologico de Barranquilla, and get engrossed in the history at Museo Mapuka.

For reviews, photos, other places to visit, and other tourist information, read our Barranquilla trip website.

If you are flying in from Panama, the closest major aiports are Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport and Rafael Nuñez International Airport. In marzo, plan for daily highs up to 38°C, and evening lows to 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
