Åre is a locality and one of the leading Scandinavian ski resorts situated in Åre Municipality, Jämtland County, Sweden with 1,417 inhabitants in 2010. Step out of Are to go to Hallen and see Bydalsfjallen, which is approximately 32 minutes away. There's lots more to do: get a taste of the local shopping with Fjallsport, see Off-Road Tours, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Duveds Kyrka, and contemplate the waterfront views at Ristafallet.
