Suzhou

One of the oldest settlements in the Yangtze basin, Suzhou remains a complex, labyrinthine set of old canal districts, World Heritage gardens, and sprawling modern developments.
Get out of town with these interesting Suzhou side-trips: Xitang Ancient Town (in Jiashan County), Shaxi Ancient Town (in Taicang) and Lanxiu Park of Jiaxing (in Jiaxing). Traveling from Shanghai in February, expect nights in Suzhou to be slightly colder, around -5°C, while days are cooler, around -5°C. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Huangshan: Stone Great Wall Scienc Spot (in Lin'an) and She County (Xuguo Stone Arch & Huangshan Nanqiao Building). Jiuzhaigou County

Nine villages make up Jiuzhaigou County, a valley with a wealth of natural sites protected by UNESCO. Some of the natural sites are considered holy by the local Tibetan and Qiang minorities, with many legends and anecdotes associated with each lake, waterfall, off-shoot valley, and snowcapped peak.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Jiuzhaigou County: Songpan County (Huanglong Valley & Huanglong Scenic Valley). Suzhou on the Plateau

The cultural capital of the Naxi people, one of the 55 minority ethnic groups in the country, Lijang traces its history back over 800 years, with the city developing from a trading post on the ancient Southern Silk Road.
Take a break from Lijiang with a short trip to Baisha Naxi Embroidery Institute in Yulong County, about 30 minutes away. Spend the 24th (Tue) exploring nature at Three Parallel Rivers National Park.
