Enschede, also known as Eanske in the local dialect of Twents, is a municipality and a city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Overijssel and in the Twente region. Get out of town with these interesting Enschede side-trips: molen van Frans (in Mander), Spa boerderij (in Nutter) and Natuurgebied Beekvliet (in Borculo). Next up on the itinerary: sample the tasty concoctions at Grolsch Brewery Tour, tee off at Golfclub Driene, get engrossed in the history at The Educatorium, and examine the collection at Huis Singraven.

Arnhem is known mostly for its John Frost Bridge, which the British tried to secure during World War II. The operation was significant enough to be the subject of a movie, "A Bridge Too Far." Many who go to Arnhem do so for its historical museums, war monuments, museum of modern art, and the Burgers' zoo.
Explore Arnhem's surroundings by going to Andreaskerk of Grote Kerk Hattem (in Hattem), Wezepse Heide (in Wezep) and Basiliek van Onze Lieve Vrouw Ten Hemelopneming Zwolle (in Zwolle). Spend the 7th (Sun) exploring nature at Hoge Veluwe National Park.
