You can drive from Hualien to Taitung in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a train. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Sat) early enough to drive to Hengchun.

Magong

Most visitors take a trip to Magong to see Penghu's iconic landmark, the famed Tianhou Gong Mazu temple, honoring the Chinese sea goddess and dating back to the 16th century.
