Traveling by bus from Budva to Herceg-Novi takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In August, plan for daily highs up to 38°C, and evening lows to 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Niksic.

Nikšić is the second largest city of Montenegro, with a total population of 57,278, located in the west of the country, in the centre of the spacious Nikšić field at the foot of Mount Trebjesa. You'll explore and learn at Heritage Museum at King Nikola Palace and Heritage Museum. Your inner history buff will appreciate Ostrog Monastery and Communist Partizan Monument. Get out of town with these interesting Niksic side-trips: Podgorica (Millennium Bridge, Saborni Hram Hristovog Vaskrsenja, & more), Orthodox Monastery Zhdrebaonik (in Danilovgrad) and Komovi Mountain Range (in Kolasin).
