Built on a desolate swamp as a showcase capital of Imperial Russia, this grand city has certainly lived up to the expectations of its founder, Tsar Peter the Great.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like The State Hermitage Museum and The Anna Akhmatova Museum. Visiting Eco Path and National Park Shhuchye Lake will get you outdoors. Explore Hyeres' surroundings by going to Heraclee Beach (in La Croix-Valmer), Plage des Marines (in Cogolin) and Eglise Saint Jean-Baptiste (in Sollies-Pont).
