Get outdoors at Bentota Beach and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Palace Seaside and Pettah. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Colombo: Negombo Beach (in Negombo), Kande Viharaya Temple (in Dharga Town) and Holy Cross Church Kalutara (in Kalutara). Cairo, Egypt to Colombo is an approximately 11- hour flight. You'll lose 3.5 hours traveling from Cairo to Colombo due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Cairo in April, expect Colombo to be a bit warmer, temps between 39°C and 30°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Dambulla.
