Västerås is a city in central Sweden, located on the shore of Lake Mälaren in the province Västmanland, some 100km west of Stockholm. You've now added Vasteras Tourist Center - Expect Vasteras to your itinerary. Change things up with these side-trips from Vasteras: Norrkoping (Himmelstalund rock carvings, St Johannes Church, & more), Kolmarden (Kolmården Zoo & Tropicarium) and Finspang (S:ta Maria kyrka, Finspangs slott, & more). Pack the 1st (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Boda Borg - Oxelosund. Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 16th (Fri) at Djupadalsbadet bad och camping. There's much more to do: explore the historical opulence of Orebro Castle, contemplate the long history of Gripsholm Castle, enjoy the sand and surf at Logastrand, and make a splash at Lost City - Gustavsvik.

To find more things to do, ratings, photos, and tourist information, go to the Vasteras trip planning app .

If you are flying in from Japan, the closest major airports are Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, Stockholm Västerås Airport, Stockholm-Bromma Airport and Stockholm Skavsta Airport. In July, daytime highs in Vasteras are 26°C, while nighttime lows are 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
