Rome

— 20 nights

Eternal City

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Trevi Fountain. Explore Rome's surroundings by going to Culture Discovery Vacations - Cooking Classes & Vacations (in Soriano nel Cimino) and Tivoli (Villa Adriana, Parrocchia S. Vincenzo In S. Andrea, &more). There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Colosseum, make a trip to St. Peter's Basilica, delve into the distant past at Palatine Hill, and admire the masterpieces at Galleria Borghese.

Venice

City of Romance

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Get out of town with these interesting Venice side-trips: Verona (Chiesa di San Procolo, Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore, &more), Padua (Cattedrale Santa Maria Assunta nella Cattedrale, Battistero del Duomo di Padova, &more) and Chiesa di Santa Maria della Pieve (in Colognola ai Colli). There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande, appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza San Marco, admire the landmark architecture of Basilica di San Marco, and pause for some serene contemplation at San Giorgio Maggiore.
