Porto

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Porto is known for historic sites, nightlife, shopping, nature, and museums. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: snap pictures at Ponte de Dom Luis I, savor the flavors at Food & Drink, let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, and make a trip to Liberdade Square.

Toronto, Canada to Porto is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also do a combination of ferry and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference when traveling from Toronto to Porto is 5 hours. Plan for much hotter temperatures traveling from Toronto in February, with highs in Porto at 16°C and lows at 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sat) to allow time to take a train to Coimbra.
